We are pleased to announce that REBORN has officially joined the Circular Battery Cluster, a community of Horizon Europe-funded projects united by a shared mission: accelerating the transition to a circular, sustainable battery ecosystem in Europe. This is a significant step forward for the project, opening new avenues for joint dissemination, technical exchange, and coordinated policy outreach with fellow innovators in the second-life battery space.

The Circular Battery Cluster brings together complementary projects, each addressing a distinct piece of the battery circularity puzzle: REBORN and its sister projects, BATTERY2LIFE and BIGLEAP, as well as REBELION, BatteReverse and REINFORCE.

Together, these projects bring complementary expertise spanning diagnostics, BMS development, system design, automated dismantling, reverse logistics, digital passports, and pilot demonstrations — forming a powerful and coherent voice for battery circularity within the European research landscape. By joining the Cluster, REBORN becomes part of a network capable of turning shared challenges into shared solutions, and of engaging with policymakers, industry, and the wider public from a position of collective strength. The Cluster will serve as a platform for joint activities in the months ahead, with opportunities for cross-project collaboration that extend well beyond the boundaries of individual consortia.

To stay up to date with the Cluster’s activities, we invite you to join the Circular Battery Cluster LinkedIn group and follow REBORN on LinkedIn for all the latest project news.
