THI

Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI), established in 1994, offers excellent learning and working conditions for over 8100 students, 210 professors, and 900 employees. As Germany’s leading mobility university, THI combines high-quality, practice-oriented education with strong research in publicly and industry-funded projects. CARISSMA, THI’s research center for vehicle safety, serves as the national lead center in the field. Within CARISSMA, the Institute of Electric, Connected and Secure Mobility (C-ECOS) conducts research on electromobility, accident analysis, Car2X communication, and automotive cybersecurity.

As part of the REBORN project, THI is developing a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture for both first and second life, focusing on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. This includes securing wireless BMS communication, cloud access, and security testing. THI also supports the project through battery safety testing and the creation of a unique battery fingerprint.
